An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on October 16, 2024. The on-site inspection began at 11:15am and ended at 1:05pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 40 children present and 7 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 5 staff records on-site. This inspection included a tour of the facility, document review, observations, and interviews.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five (5) business days from today, which will be the close of business on October 23, 2024. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-340-A Description: The center shall ensure that children under 10 years of age should always be within actual sight and sound supervision of staff.
1. In the toddler classroom, there were five toddlers napping alone in the classroom when the inspector entered the classroom. The inspector did not observe any staff supervising the children in the toddler classroom.
2. Staff stated that staff #1 was supposed to be supervising the infant classroom and the toddler classroom. Staff stated that staff #1 sits in a jointed hall between the two rooms and monitors both classrooms.Plan of Correction: Not available online. Contact Inspector for more information.
