Standard #: 8VAC20-780-330-B Description: Based on observation of the playground area, the center failed to ensure all immediate fall
zones had the required amount of resilient surfacing.
Evidence:
The swings did not have the required fall zone of 12 feet front and back of the swings. The
measurable amount was 7.9 feet. According to the attachment VII in the Standards for
Licensed Child Day Center the amount of fall zone is double the height of the top of the
swings to the ground. Children were observed on the playground using the swings.Plan of Correction: Not available online. Contact Inspector for more information.
