An unannounced Renewal Inspection was conducted on September 26, 2023. There were 36 children, ages 3 months-4years, 14 staff and 2 administrative staff present during the inspection. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, personnel, environment and equipment, care of children, preventing the spread of disease, emergencies and nutrition. Medications for children were reviewed during the inspection. Licensing Inspector review 5 children's records and 5 staff records. The children were observed during circle time, center time and active time on the playground.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliances with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-130-E Description: Based on record review, the Licensee failed to obtain documentation of additional immunizations once every six months for children under the age of two years.
EVIDENCE:
Record for Child #5 did not include updated immunization documentation. Last immunization documents were completed 4/04/2022; date of enrollment 1/21/2022.Plan of Correction: Parents will submit documentation of the child's updated immunizations.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-520-C Description: Based on inspection, the Licensee failed to ensure over-the-counter topical ointment is labeled with the child's name.
EVIDENCE:
In the infant classroom, Licensing Inspector observed multiple tubes of diaper ointment that was not labeled with the name of the child.Plan of Correction: Corrected during inspection. All tubes of diaper ointment were labeled with each child's name
