8VAC20-790 SUBSIDY REGULATIONS.

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program.
A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was initiated and concluded on 1/05/2022. There were 14 children present with 3 staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-790-600-D-1 Description: Based on record review, two staff members did not have Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) within 90 days of the date of employment.
Evidence:
1. Staff #4 (Date of hire 10/04/2021) and Staff #7 (Date of hire 8/25/2021) did not have current certification in CPR.Plan of Correction: Staff #4 and Staff #7 have completed part 1 of CPR training and certificate is on file at the center. Both teachers are scheduled to complete the class on January 19th, 2022.
Standard #: 8VAC20-790-600-D-2 Description: Based on record review, one staff member did not have Current certification in first aid training within 90 days of the date of employment.
Evidence:
1. Staff #4 (Date of hire 10/04/2021) did not have current certification in first aid training.Plan of Correction: Staff #4 is scheduled complete First Aid Class on January 19th 2022.
