Provided consultation on standards:
1) 340: ensuring the care and protection of all children by following all safe sleep guidelines, and ensuring staff can see all children (see their faces, see their breathing), even when sleeping.
2) 500B: A non-absorbent surface for diapering shall be used; for children younger than 3 years, this surface shall be a changing table.

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 11:30 am - 2:30 pm with the center director. There were 97 children, ranging from three months to five years of age, present with 16 staff supervising. Infant care was observed and older children were observed eating lunch, listening to stories, preparing for nap, and napping. Lunch served today: pasta with butter, peas, applesauce and milk. Five child records and five staff records were reviewed, along with the emergency drill log, written daily attendance, written allergy list, two medications and authorization forms, one allergy care plan and the annual fire and health inspections.
