Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternative remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

A renewal inspection was initiated on 06/22/2020 and concluded on 06/23/2020. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 48 children and 9 staff members present during the inspection. The inspector reviewed 3 children's records, 3 staff records and 6 board officer/agent records during the inspection to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-560-F
Description: Based on discussion with staff, the facility failed to ensure that when centers choose to provide meals or snacks, a menu listing foods to be served for meals and snacks during the current one-week period shall be: dated, posted in a location conspicuous to parents, list any substitutions, and be kept on file for one week at the center.

Evidence: Agent #6 stated they did not have a menu for breakfast and lunch; breakfast and lunch are provided by the local school system.

Plan of Correction: Staff contacted the Summer Food Program Coordinator and requested a menu during the inspection.
