Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on July 11, 2023 between 8:15am and 10:40am. There were 3 children present with one (1) caregiver supervising for a total of 7 points within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed playing with various age appropriate toys, eating snack, diapering and toileting procedures, and handwashing. Positive interactions were observed during this inspection. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programing, evacuation drill logs, menu, first aid supplies, attendance, child and caregiver records, and emergency procedures. No medication on sight at the time of the inspection. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the programs. Violations:
Standard #: 22.1-289.036-A
Description: Based on review of three household members' records, and interview with the provider, the provider did not update the central registry record report every five years for a household member residing in the home.
Evidence: 1. Household Member #2 record did not have an updated central registry search.in the file (expired 10/31/22).
2. Provider acknowledged household member #2 central registry results were expired and she had failed to resend the corrected paperwork.

Plan of Correction: I saw I had forgotten to send the corrected form and I mailed it yesterday in certified mail. I will be more careful in the future.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-760-A-1
Description: Based on observation, the first aid kit did not contain at a minimum antiseptic cleaning solution or pads.
Evidence: The first aid kit did not have antiseptic cleaning solution or pads.

Plan of Correction: I will buy the antiseptic cleaning solution or pads today and put in my first aid kit.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-790
Description: Based on observation, the provider failed to post the telephone numbers for 911 or local dial number for police, fire and emergency medical responders, the responsible person for emergency back-up care and the regional poison control enter in a visible area close to the telephone.
Evidence:
1. Telephone numbers of 911, police, fire or emergency medical responders were not posted.
2. Poison Control number was not posted.
3. The name of responsible emergency back-up care was not posted.
4. Provider acknowledged the numbers were not posted.

Plan of Correction: I had taken it down. I will be sure to keep the numbers posted near the phone.
Violation corrected during inspection.
