An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on 01/18/24 from 8:18 a.m. to 10:20 a.m. with the Director. There were 36 children in care, ranging in age from eight months to five-years-old, supervised by seven staff. The children were observed in free play. Five child records and five staff records were reviewed. Four medications and authorization forms were reviewed, and the center has three staff current in Medication Administration Training (MAT). Required postings were observed. The attendance, menu, and emergency drill log were reviewed. The first aid kit, flashlight, and battery-operated radio were observed. The most recent Fire Inspection on file was dated 01/05/23 and the most recent Health Inspection on file was dated 03/10/23. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Based on a review of five staff records, the center did not obtain documentation of the results of a central registry search within 30 days of employment for all staff.
Evidence:
1. The record for Staff #2 with a start date of 10/12/22, the results of the central registry search background check was dated 11/30/22.
