An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated on 11/14/2024 and completed on 11/14/2024. The on-site inspection began at 9:12 am and ended at 2:40 pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 23 children present and four staff. The inspector reviewed five children?s records and five staff records on-site on date.
This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, observations and measurements.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the violation will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five (5) business days from today, which will be the close of business on 11/29/2024. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-270-A Description: REPEAT VIOLATION:
Areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, shall be maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition.
On the playground, the plastic panel of the gate was broken in a circular shape with rough edges, large enough for a child to place their hand through.
In the infant room, the floors of the restroom had an accumulation of dirt along the borders and buildup around the toilet, and the diaper changing pad in the restroom had a film of dirt within the crevices.
In the two vans used for transporation, there were three car seats being used with various spots and dirt covering the seats.Plan of Correction: Parents normally maintain their booster seats but we will add them to our weekly laundry.
Changing pad will be replaced.
Landlord is responsible for gate, we will speak with him again.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-330-A Description: Playgrounds shall be located and designed to protect children from hazards.
On the playground at the bottom of the playground slide there was a tree root that was directly in front of the chute of the slide causing a tripping hazard. During the inspection on 11/14/2024 the Licensing Inspector observed a child coming off the slide and tripping over the tree root and falling.Plan of Correction: Playground was just maintenanced several weeks ago. We will have our lawn guy try to move slide from the tree root.
