There were 63 children ages 5 years old to age 11 years old supervised by 6 staff. The physical plant, programming, attendance, menus, 6 staff records, 5 children?s records, 8 medications with corresponding authorization records, emergency drills, injury reports, emergency supplies and policies were reviewed. Children were observed participating in arrival, art and snack. Handwashing procedures were also observed. There was an adequate number of staff present with current certification in Medication Administration Training (MAT), CPR and First Aid, and Daily Health Observation (DHO) training.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
