This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
The licensing inspector initiated an remote inspection which was initiated on 9/9/20 and concluded on 10/8/20 in response to a self-reported incident received by the department on 9/9/20. Interviews were conducted with the staff and family members relating to the incident. There are no violations resulting from this self-reported investigation. Standard #: 22VAC40-191-60-C-2 Description: Based on documentation provided by the director and interview, the center failed to obtain a central registry finding within 30 days of employment.
Evidence:
1. The record for one staff was provided. There was no results for the central registry provided.
2. The director stated the staff member started 9/2/20 and they sent off the central registry background check but have not received the findings yet and have not follow-up as of 10/9/20.Plan of Correction: The director attempted to call to follow-up on 10/9/20 after discussing the situation with the inspector and then sent an email. If they have not received contact within a week another attempt will be made. In the future if a response is not received within 30 days from a central registry check follow-up will be made and the record will be documented.
