This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, and staff interviews.
A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was initiated on 7/30/2021 and concluded on 8/2/2021. There were 28 children present with 5 staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-580-B Description: Based on record review and staff interview, the center did not ensure that all staff who work directly with children have completed Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff within 90 days of employment.
Evidence: Staff #3 (Date of Hire 6/8/2013) has not completed Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff.Plan of Correction: Staff is currently working on completing this training.
