Technical Assistance:
Provided consultation on standard:
1) 350Q: a center may temporarily reassign a child from his regular group and staff members for reasons of administrative necessity but not casually or repeatedly disrupt a child?s schedule and attachment to his staff members and group.
2) 370-6: stimulation and language development activities, including but not limited to staff reading, talking to, showing pictures to, naming objects for, playing with and engaging in positive interactions (such as smiling, cuddling and making eye contact) with infants
3) 570A: high chairs, infant carriers, or feeding tables shall be used for children under 12 months who are not held while being fed. Provided consultation that this is a best practice for children over age 12 months as well.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 9:45 am - 1:15 pm with the center director. There were approximately 86 children, ranging from five months to five years of age, present with 18 staff supervising. Children were observed playing in a variety of centers, working on art projects, outside on the playground, washing hands and eating lunch, watching an age-appropriate video, and napping. Lunch served today: macaroni and cheese with hamburger, broccoli, mixed fruit and milk. The physical plan was inspected along with five staff records, the written daily attendance, and the written allergy list. Hand washing and diapering procedures were also observed.
