An in-person renewal study was conducted on 3/21/22. There were 7 children present (17 points) with 4 caregivers. Children were observed resting, washing hands and eating snack. 5 household/staff records were reviewed. See violation notice for missing information. 4 child records, emergency evacuation drills, first aid supplies and emergency supplies were reviewed and were all in compliance.

Standard #: 22.1-289.035-B-4 Description: Based on a review of records, one staff record does not include documentation of a completed Sex Offender search for a residence outside of the state of Virginia within the past 5 years, prior to employment.
Evidence:

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-260-A Description: Based on observation, access to the pool was not prevented by locking and or securing the ladder in place, or stored in a place inaccessible to children.
Evidence:
The ladder for the pool was placed next to the pool, not locked in place or stored inaccessible to children.Plan of Correction: A fence will be installed with the ladder moved away from the pool, inside the fenced area.
Standard #: 8VAC20-800-260-B Description: Based on observation, there is not a non-climbable barrier at least four feet high, separating the above ground pool from the backyard play area.
Evidence:
The above ground pool installed in the backyard, does not have a non-climbable barrier preventing access to the pool.Plan of Correction: A fence will be installed and the ladder moved away from the pool.
Standard #: 8VAC20-800-530-B Description: Based on observation a crib in use, did not have a tight-fitting bottom cover.
Evidence:
A child was observed sleeping in a crib that did not have a tight-fitting bottom cover on the mattress. There was no sheet on the water-proof mattress.Plan of Correction: A tight-fitting sheet will be put on the mattress. No one will be put down to sleep in a crib without a sheet on the mattress.
