8VAC20-800-830.B. Shelter-in-place procedures shall be practiced a minimum of twice per year.
8VAC20-800-830.D. Records of emergency evacuation and shelter-in-place drills shall be maintained for one year.

Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on January 30, 2023, from 10:00am to 11:33am with the provider and one assistant. There were seven children, ages 19 months, 20 months, 2, 2, 3, 5, and 7 years old, were in the care of two caregivers for a total of 16 points. The children were observed playing with age-appropriate toys. Four children?s records were reviewed. The provider record and one staff record were reviewed. The provider has current certification in CPR and First Aid. The provider does not give medication at this time and is aware that Medication Administration Training (MAT) is required to do so. The first aid kit, flashlight, and battery-operated radio were observed. The most recent emergency evacuation drill was documented as 1/9/2023.
