A complaint inspection was initiated on 6/30/2022and concluded on 6/30/2022. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of physical plant, infant care, and food service. The inspection started at 10am and concluded at 12pm.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-270-C Complaint related: Yes Description: Based on review of the facility, and discussions with staff the center failed to maintain compliance with this standard as required in the infant room.
Evidence:
On 6/30/22 at 10:00am the temperature in the infant room was found to be 65 degrees. Staff stated that the thermostat one the wall in their classroom cannot be adjusted to increase or decrease the temperature as the main control is located within the directors office and is controlled from there. The temperature in the directors office was 73 degrees. Staff stated that there are issues with the cooling system and that it is hard to keep the temperature even throughout the building.Plan of Correction: The system will be repaired or replaced to ensure adequate temperatures are maintained within the center. Licensing will be notified of completion of repair or replacement.
