-It is recommended that crib sheets fit snug to the mattress of the crib and that there is no more than 1 inch of space between the mattress and the crib.
-When infants are sleeping in cribs, each crib should have a service side of 30 inches of space between cribs and 12 inches of the other side.

A monitoring inspection was conducted on 02/07/2024. There were 22 children present and 6 staff. A tour of the facility was conducted, in addition to a record review and interviews with staff. The Inspector reviewed both, children?s and staff records, along with any requested program records submitted by the facility to determine if required documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-570-I Description: Based on observation and interview the center did not ensure there was a one-day's emergency supply of disposable bottles, nipples, and commercial formulas appropriate for the children in care.
Evidence:
The center did not have emergency infant formula for the 4 infants that were in care.Plan of Correction: The director will ensure there is emergency formula stored in the 2nd building along with all the other required items for the infants.
