A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted on June 7, 2024 from 11:35am to 2:45pm. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI inspection. The two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection. The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice and discussed during the exit interview.

Standard #: 8VAC20-790-600-B Description: Based on record review and interview, the center did not ensure that within the first 90 days of employment or subsidy vendor approval all staff who work directly with children shall complete Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff.
Evidence:
1. The record for #2 did not contain documentation of the completed Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff within 90 days of subsidy vendor approval. (Subsidy approval: 2/16/2022)
