A initial in-person inspection was initiated on 5/12/2022 and concluded on 5/13/2022. Licensing Inspector meet with Melissa S, Director and Claudia M, Assistant Director.
All rooms and the playground were measured to calculate the capacity. 9 staff records were reviewed. No child records were reviewed. 32 cribs (all with 2021/5 manufactured dates were inspected).
The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-240-B Description: Based on staff records review, the center did not ensure staff completed orientation no later than seven days of the date of assuming job responsibilities.
Evidence: 9 out of 9 staff records reviewed, staff orientation was not completed within the seven days of the date of assuming job responsibilities.Plan of Correction: Orientation will be held with staff and staff will sign the form. The form will placed in the staff record available for review.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-540-C Description: Based on first aid and emergency supplies reviewed, the center did not have with the supplies two triangle bandages.
Evidence: Two triangles were not included in the first aid kit supplies.Plan of Correction: We wiill order two triangle bandages for first aid kit.
