An inspection was conducted in response to a self report received by the licensing office regarding supervision concerns. An inspection was initiated on July 11, 2023 beginning at 10:45 a.m. and ended at 12:15 p.m. with the director and regional director.
Video footage was reviewed. Documentation including a staff record and child's record were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and a violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-340-A Description: Based on review of video footage, interviews and review of documentation, it was determined that staff did not always ensure the care, protection and guidance of all children in care. Evidence: Child #1, age 13 months, was observed on video playing with blocks stored on top of a book case in the infant room. Staff #1 is observed picking up the tablet and viewing the screen. Staff #1 then snatches the blocks from Child #1 and replaces them on the shelf. Child #1 stays at the bookshelf. Staff #1 is then seen taking Child #1 by the left arm and carrying Child #1 by the left arm approximately eight feet to the carpet and sitting Child #1 down. Plan of Correction: Not available online.
