Effective January 1, 2025, VDOE will begin determining compliance with ? 22.1-289.057 of the Code of Virginia, which is legislation passed by the General Assembly in 2020. The law requires all licensed child day programs, religious exempt child day centers that serve preschool age children, and certified preschools to test potable drinking water. An unannounced inspection was initiated on 11/12/2024 and completed on 11/14/2024 in response to a compliant received by the licensing office on 11/12/2024 relating behavior guidance and forbidden actions. The inspector reviewed 1 child?s record and 4 staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, and interviews.
The preponderance of evident gathered during the investigation does not support the allegations; therefore, the complaint is determined to be not valid. The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
