An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today.
There were 13 c hildren (ages 3-5yrs) present with two teachers.
Three child records and two staff records were reviewed.
The children were playing outdoors.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-270-A Description: Based on observation during outdoor time, the facility failed to ensure that all areas operate in a safe condition.
Evidence:
1. Landscape fabric is exposed in multiple areas on the playground. This presents a tripping hazard.Plan of Correction: Landscape fabric will be covered and adequate mulch will be put on playground.
Children will not be allowed on playground until it is fixed.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-330-B Description: Based on observation during outdoor time, the facility failed to ensure that there is enough resilient surface material to comply with minimum safety standards.
Evidence:
1. There is less than one inch of rubber mulch under the blue and yellow climber.Plan of Correction: Adequate mulch will spread be under climber. Children will not be allowed to play on playground until surface is in place.
