Comments:

This inspection was conducted using an alternate remote protocol necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. This was an announced complaint inspection. The complaint alleges the licensee fails to provide supportive services to birth parents. The inspection was initiated on 01/26/2021 and concluded on 02/04/2021. The regional director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. The agency reported 7 children in care, and 21 approved provider homes. Standards for Organization and Administration, Personnel and Adoption were reviewed for compliance. Two birth parent records were reviewed. Four staff were interviewed regarding services provided to birth parents and agency policies and procedures. Policies and Procedures regarding Access to Services, Pregnancy Counseling and Discharge, Aftercare Planning and Case Closure Procedures were reviewed. The regional director was available for questions throughout the inspection. An exit interview was conducted by telephone on 02/04/2021 from approximately 10:35 am to11:00 am with the regional director, branch director and pregnancy counselor to discuss preliminary inspection findings. The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
