Technical assistance is provided in the following area: 22VAC40-131-370.B-please review current practices, current systems and please update procedures to ensure that the use of electronic signatures that are consistently in compliance with the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act 59.1-479 through 59.1-497 of the Code of Virginia.

Comments:

A renewal inspection was initiated on November 19, 2021 and concluded on November 29, 2021. The Program Director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. The Program Director reported that the current census was thirty-nine (39) children and thirty-nine (39) foster home providers. There was one (1) newly hired staff since the last inspection. The Inspector emailed the Program Director a list of items required to complete the remote documentation review portion of the inspection. The Inspector reviewed four (4) foster child records, four (4) complete foster home provider records and one (1) employee record submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. An exit interview was conducted with agency representatives on November 29, 2021, where findings were reviewed and an opportunity was given for questions, as well as for providing any information or documentation which was not available during the inspection. Information gathered during the inspection determined no non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or laws, and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
