Comments:

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. An announced renewal inspection was initiated on 4/5/2021 and concluded on 4/12/2021. The associate executive director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. The associate executive director was available for questions throughout the inspection. The agency reported 4 children in care, and 3 approved provider homes. The inspector emailed the associate executive director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The inspector reviewed 1 personnel record, 1 child record, and 1 provider home record. The agency's programs and service descriptions were reviewed. Two agency representatives were interviewed. An exit interview was conducted by telephone on 4/12/2021 at approximately 4:00 pm with the associate executive director and case manager to discuss preliminary inspection findings. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the agency. Based on information reviewed, there were no citations for violation of the Standards for Child-Placing Agencies.
