Comments:

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 3/23/22 from approximately 10:10 am to 1:55 pm at the South Hill location of United Methodist Family Services (UMFS). The agency reports 19 approved provider homes and 15 children in care. During this inspection, 2 provider home records and 2 children records were reviewed. Background checks for 1 intern were reviewed. One staff was interviewed during this inspection. The Regional Director was available throughout the inspection for questions and participated in the exit interview to discuss findings which commenced at 1:30 pm on 3/23/22. The Assistant Director of Quality Improvement and Risk Management, Vice President of Human Resources, Assistant Director, Community Based Services Supervisor, Administrative Services Supervisor and the HR Coordinator also participated in the exit interview via telephone. There were no violations of the Standards for Child Placing Agencies.
