Comments:

An unannounced renewal inspection took place on February 25, 2022 from 10:25 am to 2:30 pm at the office of United Methodist Family Services (UMFS) in Fredericksburg. Additional documentation for this inspection was reviewed on 02/28/2022. The agency reports 37 approved provider homes and 32 children placed. During this inspection, 4 provider home records, 4 children records and 3 personnel records were reviewed. One staff was interviewed during this inspection. The Regional Director was available throughout the inspection. An acknowledgement form was left with the Regional Director on 2/25/2022. The Regional Director, Program Manager, Chief Programs Officer, Associate Vice President of Programs, Associate VP of Human Resource, and the VP of Strategy and Innovations participated in the exit interview to discuss preliminary findings, which commenced at 4:00 pm on 2/28/2022. An additional exit interview to discuss the inspection findings took place at 12:00 pm on 3/1/2022 with the Regional Director. There were no citations for violation of the Standards for Child-Placing Agencies. See the violation notice on the Department?s public web site for violations of the Standards.
