Comments:

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. An announced renewal inspection was initiated on 02/16/2021 and concluded on 02/23/2021. The director of adoption and child welfare was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. The agency reported 28 approved provider homes, no children placed and no new staff hired since the last inspection. The inspector emailed the director of adoption and child welfare a list of items required to complete the inspection. The director of adoption and child welfare was available for questions during the inspection. The inspector reviewed 3 provider home records and interviewed one employee for this inspection. Background checks for 2 additional provider homes were reviewed. The agency submitted COVID-19 policies and procedures. An exit interview was conducted by telephone on 02/23/2021 at approximately 11:45 am with the director of adoption and child welfare. The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
