Comments:

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. An announced monitoring inspection was initiated on 08/27/2020 and concluded on 09/3/2020. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. The agency reported 33 children in care and 71 approved provider homes. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The inspector reviewed 8 provider home records and 4 children's records. Background checks for 5 additional provider homes were reviewed. No new hires reported since the last inspection. The agency submitted Covid-19 policies and procedures. An exit interview was conducted by telephone on 09/03/2020 at approximately 12:15 pm with the associate director of foster care and the adoption and the foster care supervisor. Agency office inspection was conducted remotely by video on 9/3/2020. Information gathered during the inspection determined compliance with applicable standards or law. There were no citations for violation of the Standards for Child-Placing Agencies.
