Type of inspection: Initial An onsite inspection was conducted at the office site location and the apartment home location on 7/10/2023 from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm, the licensing inspector requested additional information regarding DMV records, Policy and Procedures and forms, which were received and reviewed by the licensing inspector on 7/31/2023. Number of children in care: N/A Number of approved provider homes: N/A The Licensing Inspector completed a tour of the office location that included the office setting and conditions and to ensure compliance with standards. The Licensing Inspector toured the Independent Living Apartment location site, and the location was appropriate for the services. Number of children?s records reviewed: N/A Number of staff records reviewed: 7 staff records, 1 corporate officer records were reviewed. Additional information was requested and submitted to the licensing inspector. Number of interviews conducted with staff: 1 entrance and exit interview with the CEO, Executive Director and the Intake Specialist, Observations by licensing inspector: The office setting and conditions meets the compliance standards. Additional Comments/Discussion: Fostering a Better Future is an initial Independent Living Arrangement agency providing services in the Tidewater area of Virginia.
