How This Program Helps

This program supports child care workers who want to grow their skills. It offers tuition help for courses in early childhood education at Virginia colleges.

The goal is to strengthen the quality of care for children by supporting the people who care for them.

You may qualify if you:

• Work in a child care program in Virginia
• Live in Virginia and work in child care, or plan to work in child care

Funding for this program comes from federal and state sources.

The Virginia Department of Education now manages this program. New data is no longer reported by the Virginia Department of Social Services after 2022.
