Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was completed from 10:20 a.m.-11:40 a.m. by Licensing Inspector. COVID screening was completed. There is 1 resident in care at this time and 1staff member was on duty. Administrator and Licensee were present during the inspection. One resident's record and one staff record were reviewed for compliance. A tour of the physical plant was completed. Physician's orders and medication administration record were observed. Resident interviewed did not voice any concerns or complaints during the inspection. New personnel record was reviewed since last inspection for criminal history record report and it was in compliance. First aid kit supplies were also reviewed. Resident was engaged in activities during the inspection. Violation cited is identified within this report. Administrator and Licensee were given the opportunity to ask questions during the exit interview. Please complete the "plan of correction" and "date to be corrected" for each violation cited on the violation notice and return to the Inspector by (or within 10 days). You will need to specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Just writing the word "corrected" is not acceptable. Your plan of correction must contain: 1) steps to correct the non-compliance with the standard(s), 2) measures to prevent the noncompliance from occurring again; and 3) person(s) responsible for implementing each step and/or monitoring any preventive measure(s). Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-73-980-A
Description: Based on observation of the first aid kit supplies, all items were not in the kit for review. Evidence: There were no disposable single use breathing barriers or shields for use with rescue breathing or CPR (mask or other type) and there was no thermometer included in the kit.

Plan of Correction: Administrator will secure the required items from the drug store and will place in the kits. A review of First Aid kit items will be done monthly to ensure all items are replaced after use.
