Comments:

A complaint was received by VDSS Division of Licensing on 3/29/2023 regarding allegations in the area of parking and resident safety. The Licensing Inspector arrived at 10:15am. While local parking ordinance is not regulated by DSS, it should be noted that there were no cars parked in the street upon the inspector's arrival. The facility has expanded the driveway to accommodate staff parking. The fire hydrant area has been cleared of a tree and bushes with a five foot radius above and around the hydrant and a no parking sign has been installed. The local Fire Marshall inspected the area on 4/12/2023 and approved the changes. Staff interview and observation indicate that when residents are out for a walk, one or two residents are accompanied by one staff person. The resident walks curbside and the staff maintains safety protocols. The evidence gathered during the investigation did not support the allegations of non-compliance with standard(s) or law.
