A VA 22.1-289.031 code compliance monitoring inspection was conducted from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm. There were three children in care being supervised by one staff. The children were observed playing outdoors. A total of three children's records and three staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Standard #: 22.1-289.031-B-4 Description: Based on review of three children's records it was determined that not all records contained documentation of immunization records as required. Evidence: The record for child A (start date: 03/01/2024) did not have documentation of immunizations on file. Plan of Correction: I have gotten a copy of the immunization record and birth certificate and put it in their file.
Standard #: 22.1-289.031-B-6 Description: Based on review of three staff records it was determined that not all staff were trained to recognize the signs of child abuse and neglect. Evidence: The records for the three staff on site did not have child abuse and neglect training. Plan of Correction: Both teachers have taken the classes and have put certs. in their files.
