An unannounced VA 22.1-289.031 code compliance monitoring inspection was conducted from 10:30 am - 11:30 am. There were 34 children in care being supervised by 6 staff. The children were observed participating in structured center activities and playing outdoors. A total of six children's records and three staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Standard #: 22.1-289.031-B-6 Description: Based on review of three staff records and interview it was determined that staff were not trained to recognize the signs of child abuse and neglect.
