A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 between 10:10 am to !2:15 pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements.During this inspection, the center's director was present and assisted the licensing inspector throughout this inspection. The children were observed by the licensing inspector in the various classroom settings. The census for today's inspection consisted of 17 children in care with 5 staff present. The licensing inspector conducted observations of the children in care completing various activities to include participating in a circle and coloring activity worksheet, story time, and engaging in active play with various age appropriate equipment in the classroom with adequate staff supervision. The children's lunch today consisted of chicken nuggets french fries, peas, oranges, and milk . The center's bathroom, kitchen, and classrooms were inspected during this inspection. The center's first aid kit and emergency supplies and required postings were inspected. There were five children?s records and five staff's records reviewed by the inspector during this inspection. The center administers medication; however they did not have any being given at this time. During this inspection, the school aged children were not present, however the classroom areas were inspected. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
