Technical Assistance:
Discussed maintenance of the equipment with the Assistant Director. Discussed upcoming lead testing policies.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on May 10, 2024 from 08:25am to 10:43am. There were 71 children directly supervised by 14 staff. The physical plant, 8 staff records, 4 children?s records, evacuation drills, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, reading books, circle time and eating breakfast. The children were eating oatmeal, fruit and milk. There was an assortment of age appropriate materials for the children in care. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Description: Based on observation, the surface for diapering was not a nonabsorbent surface.

Evidence:
In the toddler room, the diaper changing pad had a tear exposing the absorbent foam.

Plan of Correction: Center will replace the changing pad.
