8VAC20-790 Subsidy Program Vendor Requirements for Family Day Homes

Comments:
An unannounced Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted on 5/22/24 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:40 a.m. in conjunction with a monitoring inspection (see that inspection report for details). The two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. One staff record was reviewed for documentation of the mandatory Virginia Preservice, Health & Safety Update training, and current certification in First Aid and CPR. There are no children currently enrolled with diagnosed food allergies. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Evidence: There was no documentation of a lockdown drill, the provider confirmed a lockdown drill had not been practiced.
