An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 9:37am to 11:00am with the provider and two assistants. There were nine children in care, ranging from five months to three years of age, for a total of 22 points. Children were observed having free play, reading "Brown Bear", having Circle Time, singing songs, doing an art project, and washing up for lunch. Four children?s records, three staff records, one household member's record, and two pet records were reviewed and were in compliance. The provider and both assistants have current certification in CPR and First Aid. There were no medications on site but the provider has current certification in Medication Administration Training (MAT). Lunch today was spaghetti with meat sauce, mixed vegetables, strawberries, and milk. The first aid kit, flashlight, and weather band radio were observed. The emergency drill log, attendance, and menu were also reviewed and were in compliance.
