Technical Assistance:
Monitoring the freezer temperature to maintain at or below 0 degrees F was discussed with the provider.

Comments:
A monitoring/renewal/complaint inspection was initiated and concluded 06/10/2024. The inspector arrived at 10:35 AM and departed at 11:45 AM . There were 8 children present, totaling 21 points, with the provider and an assistant supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 4 child records and 5 caregiver/household records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Violations were reviewed with the provider during the exit interview.

Violations:
Standard #: 8VAC20-800-830-A
Description: Based upon review of records, the provider has not ensured that emergency evacuation procedures are practiced monthly.
Evidence:
No evacuation drills were documented in the months of April and May 2024.

Plan of Correction: The provider responded with the following:
Evacuation drills were conducted but not documented. In the future, we will ensure that evacuation drills are practiced and documented monthly.
