Standard #: 8VAC20-780-270-A Description: Based on observation, one area within the center was not maintained in a safe condition.
Evidence -
1. On the date of inspection (05/08/2024), peeling paint was observed within Room 12 (Child Day Care).
2. This area of peeling paint was located inside the room, beside the door to exit and enter the room. The green paint was observed missing in this area, with peeling paint existing as well.Plan of Correction: This area will be addressed by maintenance.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-280-B Description: Based on observation, not all hazardous substances were kept in a locked place while not in use.
Evidence -
1. On the date of inspection (05/08/2024), a spray can (air freshener) was observed within the bathroom of classroom #8, both not in use and not kept in a locked space.
2. Container was labeled, "Keep Out of Reach of Children."Plan of Correction: This container will be secured.
