54.1 Provider must be MAT certified to administer prescription medication.

Technical Assistance:
1. Reviewed requirement for a caregiver to have medication administration training (MAT) prior to give a prescription emergency medication on-site that belongs to a child.
2. Discussed lead water testing requirement due by January 2025. Emails sent to provider with guidance.

Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted 10:30am-12:45. Observed 9 children totaling 25 points with 2 caregivers. Ratios and supervision were in compliance. Children were observed having active outdoor playtime, washing hands, eating lunch, being diapered and playing with toys inside. The caregivers were actively engaged with the children and promptly tending to their needs. The daycare areas of the home were found to be clean and well supplied with toys and equipment for the children. Areas of non-compliance with standards and laws reviewed were found. Based on records reviewed and interview conducted, the licensee failed to ensure that in addition to First Aid/CPR training that caregivers obtained a minimum of 16 hours of annual training relevant to their job responsibilities. Evidence: There was no training recorded for Caregivers #1 and #2 . Caregiver #1 reported that they had obtained 0 of 16 hours of annual training in the last 12 months.
