Technical Assistance:
Today we discussed the specifications of cleaning versus sanitizing items to - include that that sanitizing requires that items or surfaces be "sprayed or dipped". Clorox wipes would not meet the criteria for sanitizing.

When parent indicates that a child may not consume certain foods, please be sure that you have sufficient documentation to specify whether the child has an ALLERGY, Sensitivity, or that the food is not consumed due to a religious preference, etc.
If a child has a food ALLERGY, additional documentation is required to be obtained to include a written Allergy Plan signed by the child's physician.

Medication, once it expires, should be returned to the parent and/or replaced if still needed.
In the case of some medications, the program must consider whether it is safe for the child to attend without access to a current medication at the facility.

Comments:
A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was completed. A monitoring inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered involuntary registered requirements were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
Information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law.
No violations were issued.
