A complaint was received by the licensing office on April 11, 2024, regarding allegations in the areas of program leader qualifications, staffing and supervision, building maintenance, and preventing the spread of disease. An investigation was initiated on April 15, 2024, and concluded on April 29, 2024. Observations were made, interviews were completed, and documentation was reviewed. The preponderance of evidence gathered supports violations of the standards. Areas of noncompliance can be found in the violation notice. Standard #: 8VAC20-780-560-J Complaint related: Yes Description: Based on observation, the center failed to ensure that tables were sanitized after each use for feeding.
Evidence:
1) In the Penguins classroom, the tables where children sat and ate snack were not sanitized after snack was finished.Plan of Correction: The tables were cleaned with Lysol cleaner but the teacher will make sure she also bleaches them every time. All teachers were spoken to and reminded of our cleaning and disinfecting policies.
