This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, and interviews.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 3/31/2022 and concluded on 4/6/2022. The director was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were four children present, ranging in ages from two to three, with two staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of two child records and one staff record was reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-530-A-1 Description: Based on review of records the center failed to ensure that at least one staff has CPR certification.
Evidence:
The three staff at the center do not have a current CPR certificate. The CPR certificate for staff #1 & 2 expired 1/2022.Plan of Correction: The staff are scheduled to have training June 18 & 24, 2022. Due to the pandemic the class sizes have been reduced and this is the earliest the director/owner could get scheduled. They are on a list if anyone should cancel earlier.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-530-A-2 Description: Based on review of records the center failed to ensure that at least one staff has first aid certification.
Evidence:
The three staff at the center do not have a current first aid certificate.
