8VAC20-790 Subsidy Program Vendor Requirements for Family Day Homes

A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted on 02/28/2024 from 8:55am to 10:00am to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 5 children ages 4 months to age 4 years old (15 points) with the Provider. The programming area, attendance, menus, Provider and Household member records, 5 children?s records, emergency drills, emergency supplies, and policies were reviewed. There were no children?s medications onsite. Children were observed participating in reading, building activities, a Spanish lesson and infant feeding. Handwashing procedures were also observed. There was an adequate number of staff present with current certification in CPR and First Aid training. There were no areas of non-compliance observed during the inspection. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
