A monitoring inspection was initiated on 05/09/2023 and concluded on 05/09/2023. There were 10 children present, ranging in ages from 2.5 years to 5 years, with 2 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records and 3 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined noncompliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-350-E Description: Based on observation, the provider failed to ensure that hot water taps available to children were maintained within a range of 105?F to 120?F.
Evidence:
1. The hot water temperature was in the children's bathroom was obtained using a digital thermometer. The hot water temperature registered at 138 degrees.Plan of Correction: I will get my husband to turn the hot water down and then we will discuss a splitter on the hot water tank to the sink that the children use to control the water at the right temperature.
