An unannounced follow-up monitoring inspection was conducted on June 11, 2024. Violations previously cited were checked for compliance. The licensing inspectors were on site from approximately 9:35 am until 11:45 am. There were 6 children present, ranging in ages from nine months to 23 months, with two caregivers supervising. The provider arrived at approximately 9:45 am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, transportation, staffing and supervision. Interviews were conducted and documentation reviewed. The provider is not providing transportation for children in care.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. If you have questions regarding this inspection, please contact the licensing inspector.

Standard #: 22.1-289.023-A Description: Based on interview and observation, the provider failed to post a copy of the notice of intent issued by the department in a prominent place at each public entrance of the licensed premises to advise consumers of serious or persistent violations.
Evidence:
1. The Notice of Intent dated 02/29/2024 was not posted anywhere in the family day home.
2. The provider confirmed that the Notice of Intent was not posted.Plan of Correction: The provider posted the Notice of Intent at the entrance for parents to view.
