An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today 7/17/2023 from 10:00 am-11:35 am. There were 29 children (infants-5yrs.) supervised by 8 direct care staff. The physical plant, 5 staff records, 5 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, art, and science activities, reading books, and playing outside. Diapering and hand-washing procedures were also observed. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Thank you for your cooperation during this inspection. Evidence:
1. Staff #4 (Date of hire 8/01/2022) had not completed the Virginia Department of Education-sponsored orientation course within 90 calendar days of employment.
2. Staff #5 (Date of hire 01/03/2023) did not have documentation of completing the Virginia Department of Education-sponsored orientation course within 90 calendar days of employment.
