22.1 EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE AND EDUCATION

A monitoring inspection was conducted on May 22, 2024. The inspector was on site from approximately 2:45 pm until 4:15 pm. The director was present during the inspection. There were 18 children present, ranging in ages from five years to eleven years, with two staff supervising. A third staff arrived later. Children were gathered in the gym where they played a game of grocery store and a fitness activity. A meal was served in the cafeteria. Handwashing was observed. Later children played board games and worked on homework. Staff interacted with children in a positive manner.
The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of five child records were reviewed. Three staff records were reviewed remotely on May 23, 2024.
The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
